Rockworth’s H1 Review
With four completed deals announced, and continued buyer appetite for high-quality acquisitions, it’s been a strong start to 2026.

The first half of 2026 has seen continued activity across the mid-market, with high-quality businesses attracting interest from both strategic acquirers and financial investors.
At Rockworth, we have supported clients across a broad range of sectors and transaction types. In this H1 review, we highlight four successful transactions we have announced so far this year.
These deals demonstrate the range of objectives that can be achieved through a carefully considered transaction, whether that means securing an exit, supporting the next phase of growth, or enabling shareholders to focus on other strategic priorities.
Obviously – £40m exit to RWS Holdings plc
Rockworth acted as lead sell-side adviser to the shareholders of legal technology business Obviously on its sale to RWS Holdings plc, a listed AI solutions group.
The deal comprises £16.5m of initial cash consideration and up to £23.5m of contingent consideration payable over three years, taking the total potential consideration to £40m.
Fendequip – investment partnership with Trusta Industries
Rockworth acted as lead adviser to the shareholders of Fendequip, a manufacturer of mooring products for superyachts, on its investment partnership with Trusta Industries.
Trusta is a UK industrial group with a “buy and own forever” philosophy. The founders will continue to lead Fendequip, with strategic support from Trusta, as the business enters its next phase of growth.
DGL International – sale of Craig & Rose to Benjamin Moore
Rockworth advised DGL International on the sale of the Craig & Rose brand to Benjamin Moore, the premium paint and coatings company owned by Berkshire Hathaway.
The transaction brings together two heritage paint brands and supports Benjamin Moore’s international growth ambitions. It also enables DGL International to focus on other strategic priorities across the UK and Europe.
Tolley – sale to G&L Scientific Group
Rockworth advised the shareholders of Tolley, a specialist consultancy, on the sale of their business to G&L Scientific Group.
Tolley supports pharmaceutical and biotech companies through health technology assessment and reimbursement, including submissions to NICE and the Scottish Medicines Consortium. The management team will continue to lead the business as part of G&L Scientific’s expanding group of market access consultancies across Europe.
Supporting owners through their next chapter
With momentum in M&A continuing into the second half of 2026, we expect strong businesses with clear growth prospects to remain attractive to both strategic and financial buyers.
If you are considering selling your business, securing investment or exploring other strategic options, our team would welcome a confidential, no-obligation conversation about your objectives and the opportunities available
