La Credenza is an internationally renowned distributor of high-end Italian food products, founded in 2001. The firm grew from a simple one-man operation to become the leading distributor in the sector, working out of state of the art warehouse facilities in London. The business focussed on sourcing their products directly from Italian suppliers with whom the company developed direct, long-standing relationships. The list of clients grew to include world-famous retailers and restaurants such as Harrods, Fortnum & Mason, and Soho House, as well as larger retailers such as Whole Foods and multiples.
The founder and CEO sought to realise the value created to date, and further grow the company as part of a larger organisation. La Credenza demonstrated strong growth over the previous few years and it was thought that the network of both suppliers and customers, and the strong growth potential could be exploited by a number of potential strategic buyers. The Rockworth team worked with Fabio Antoniazzi, the founder of La Credenza and acted as sole lead advisor throughout the process culminating in a successful completion.
The French food distributor, Repertoire Culinaire, a subsidiary of CA Animation, was the ultimate buyer for La Credenza. Repertoire Culinaire was founded in France in the mid 19th Century, expanding globally in the intervening years. Their core product offering complemented La Credenza’s range and was seen as a great opportunity for expansion of both product and customer base. Upon the crystallisation of value to date, the Founder / CEO has decided to stay on with the company and continue to help develop both La Credenza and the wider Repertoire Culinaire group.
I would like to thank Rockworth for their efforts in managing the deal process of our recent transaction: from initial preparatory work and advice through the deal process and to final completion, we found your work to be invaluable. I was particularly impressed with the careful and thorough management of the due-diligence process: the consistency and detail-oriented manner in which this work was carried out was much appreciated and ensured that the deal completed smoothly, even accounting for the different languages and countries that formed part of this transaction.
Kind regards, Fabio Antoniazzi, Founder, La Credenza Ltd
