MLP Traffic provides a comprehensive range of traffic management services to London, the rest of the South East and East Anglia including technical high-speed services, temporary road closure and mobile lane closure services.
On the 5th August 2019 the company became part of traffic management company Amberon, which was acquired from Lloyds Development Capital (LDC) by H2 Equity Partners in Dec 2018. The purchase is expected to further strengthen Amberon as one of the UK’s leading traffic light and management providers by adding new, specialised high-speed traffic services to the group.
Rockworth worked with the senior management of MLP Traffic, and its sister company Mervyn Lambert Plant Hire, over a period of two years to identify the appetite of the market and prepare the business for sale. As part of this process, it was advised that a complete separation of the plant and traffic companies would be the best route to achieving a sale and maximising value. Upon completing the transaction, the owner of MLP Traffic, Mr. Mervyn Lambert, stated, “This would not have been possible without Rockworth.”
Lawrence Price, Managing Director of Rockworth, said, “We are delighted at the successful result achieved with Amberon and H2 Equity Partners. Having worked alongside Mervyn and the management team for a number of years both directly on the transaction, and in the preparation and positioning of the MLP Traffic business within the large group, we wish everyone involved continued success.”
