Rockworth Management Partners are pleased to announce the successful completion of the sale of two leading spa and fitness businesses from the Clarice House group. The Clarice House group has comprised 3 successful businesses located in Colchester, Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich offering award winning spas, gym, pool and fitness facilities as well as boutique hotels for over a decade.
The Clarice House business in Bury St Edmunds comprises a neo-Jacobean mansion sitting on a 20-acre estate and boasting a range of facilities. The spa includes a 20m (66ft) swimming pool with a spa bath, sauna and steamroom. It offers a range of face and body treatments, using products from Germaine de Capuccini.
In addition to the hotel and spa, there is also a restaurant and a health club with equipment from Precor, as well as a dance studio offering a wide range of classes including Yoga, Pilates and Zumba.
The Bannatyne Group already owns a number of hotels, spas and health clubs across the country, including the Charlton House a hotel in Somerset and Bannatyne branded hotels in Hastings, Darlington and Durham. The group also has more than 60 health clubs throughout the UK.
Rockworth led the transaction on behalf of the vendor shareholders who were seeking to exit whilst ensuring the long-term security of all the staff and continued provision of a leading experience for their many customers.
