People businesses from all perspectives – these businesses are all about their staff and in turn their relationships with clients. Typically key metrics focus on the number and scale of ongoing clients, their stability over time and, where possible, contractual terms.
Recruitment is cyclical and we are at the start of another growth phase (or at the end of a downturn depending on your mood). Many recruiters have seen a strengthening in demand since later in 2009 and some of the more significant acquisitions in the sector have opened the door to a resurgence in acquisition activity at a lower level. Training remains a key area – seen as both counter-cyclical to the broader economy and also fundamental to the country’s ability to rebuild its balance sheet, we are seeing significant interest in training businesses from overseas buyers and financial investors at the current time.
Our experience ranges from model agency to management performance consultancy, from training plumbers to placing technologists. A flavour of our current work can be found in our Rockworth Newsletter for the Business Services sector.
"Had you simply told me you were selling a model agency I would not have come to the first meeting", M&A Director leading Vedior NV's (3rd largest recruitment firm in world) acquisition of MOT Models. We feel this quote proves our process of focussing on the features not simply giving away the identity.
